Hurricane Sandy

Since the media and Mayor Bloomberg refuse to acknowledge that Staten Island (A borough of NYC) is in a state of catastrophe I have decided to post these photos I took of just some of the devastation. Staten Island needs help!

  1. i dont even have words right now to describe what i feel. although i moved over the summer that beach was my home. i still owned the house on topping and although i didnt lose as much as most, i lost a lot of things that were my mother's things that were my last connection to her and my grandmother. not to mention every one down there was a second family to me. looking at the pics i was naming the people who lived there. and i cant believe that that happened. that beach was my home. i cant even begin to express how i feel for my "family" down there.

  2. Are there any local organizations, churches, set up to receive funds for immediate needs? Has the Red Cross set up anything for this area?

You might consider setting up a paypal donation button on your blog, to aid in getting as much immediate help as possible for your community. Water food diapers generators etc.
